Make these cool looking jelly worms for Halloween, April Fool’s, or anytime you feel like snacking. It is all natural ingredients without artificial made with fresh fruit juice, gelatine and some party straws
Ingredients
Orange
- 60 ml Fresh Grapefruit Juice or Orange Juice
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 18 g Gelatine Powder
Yellow
- 30 ml Fresh Passion Fruit Juice
- 30 ml Water
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 18 g Gelatine Powder
Red
- 30 ml Fresh/Frozen Raspberry Juice or Roselle Tea
- 30 ml Water
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 18 g Gelatine Powder
Preparation
1. All fresh fruit juice strained
2. Soak 18 g gelatine powder with 2 tbsp fruit juice until soft, add the remaining portion and honey.
3. Put the fruit juice under a warm water bath. Stir until all honey and gelatine melt.
4. Cut the straws into half. It is more easy to squeeze out the worm
5. Pour warm jelly mixture into a tall, skinny glass and add the straws, bendy end first. Gently weigh down with another cup to make sure the straws don’t lift up.
5. If you wan a worm with several colours, pour 1/3 mixture and wait until it set, and then pour in another colour and so on.
6. Let it stand in the room temperature (20ºC) or chill in fridge for at least 4 hrs or overnight if possible. Once set, quickly dip the straws into a bowl of warm water (40ºC~50ºC) to remove the extra jelly on the outside and soften the jelly on the inside. Gently squeeze the bottom of each straw and the worms will wiggle out. Let it dry, when they are not sticky, stored in fridge for 2 ~ 3 days

這個常溫不可以保存嗎
果汁沒有加熱消毒,也沒有防腐劑,常溫保存可能會滋生細菌,吃了拉肚子啊 ~

現在這天氣,可以室溫保存半天也不會溶化,但始終是天然水果製成,需要存放到第二天必須放進冰箱
